With a goal of establishing 3,025 medical seats by 2025, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s announcement that a medical college would be built in every district is finally taking shape.
The overall number of medical seats in Haryana has increased from 700 to 1,500 as a result of the addition of private and aided colleges.
Other districts may also be on their radar for the medical education department, according to reliable sources.
In Mahendergarh, Bhiwani, Jind, and Gurugram districts, as well as at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College in Nuh, the government is spending Rs 2,600 crore to build new medical and dentistry schools. Two years from now, these should be finished.
A government medical college in Faridabad, India, is likewise expected to be completely operational by 2022-23, according to estimates. The opening of new medical colleges in the districts of Kaithal, Sirsa, and Yamunanagar has been given the green light by the government, and detailed project reports are in the works.
